Q: What is the cost of GiveDirect?
A: Visa and MasterCard transactions are free and the entire amount of the donation
is passed through to you. American Express transactions carry a 2.25% transaction
fee. Setting up the standard GiveDirect form is free. Setting up a custom form
carries a one-time setup fee of $150.
Q: What do I get with the custom form?
A: The custom form carries the following options: logo, background color or image,
font face and color, link color, program drop-down menu, bonus text field, optional tribute area, and "How Did you Hear About Us" drop-down menu.
Q: Does the form allow my donor to make a tribute gift?
A: Yes, the option to make a gift in honor of or in memory of someone is built
into the form. This tribute cannot be removed from the standard form, but is optional on the custom form.
Q: Can I set up recurring contributions with this form?
A: Yes. The donor can select the option to make their donation recurring monthly, recurring quarterly, or recurring annually. Recurring contributions are run on the 15th of each month.
Q: What will my donors see on their credit card statements?
A: GiveDirect is what appears on the donor's statement.
Q: How am I notified of donations?
A: You have an administration web site where you can view your donations and
deposits, and you will receive an email as soon as a donation is made.
Q: When do I receive my donations from Local Independent Charities of
America?
A: Deposits are sent via EFT once a month, usually around the 20th of the month,
for the previous month's donations. Your contact will receive an email when the
deposit hits your bank account. We do not send any paper reports. You must use
your administration web site to do the reconciliation.
